A Day In Chicago

Black Truffle Pizza

We arrived in Chicago Sunday afternoon, and the Beehlers picked us up at the airport. We are staying at middle Beehler son, Tom's house in Lakeview, Chicago suburb.

Last night we ate at Spacca Napoli, a neat neighborhood eatery that was hopping on a Sunday evening.  We all tasted the black truffle mushroom pizza compliments of the house.  Not too shabby.

Today we went to downtown Chicago to see where the Beehler sons work.  Trying to describe what they do is a challenge, so we say they " deal in financial markets).  If that doesn't make sense, then it doesn't to us either.

These are pictures of Tom's a new office.  They just moved in yesterday.  We were stunned by the technology, the youth of the workers and the security that wouldn't let us in.  Since 9/11, they don't let people in to the gallery to watch the trading floor.

Jon's office is in the Chicago Board of Trade Building, right across the street.

Today, we took the Elevated Train, el, downtown and then went to the old Marshall Field's building which is now a Macys. We took the subway back out to pick up the el to Tom's home.

We will repack some suitcases this evening and fly out tomorrow.
